Veni – Parts

This is a beautiful and subtle development of the possibilities of the chant Veni Emmanuel, for brass quintet, handbells and organ. If brass players are looking for imaginative repertoire and a collaborative experience, this work fulfills that need. Also, Hale uses the famous tune, Stuttgart (Come Thou Long Expected Jesus) both alone and in dialogue. Long phrases with motives taken from the chant pass through all the voices creating a unique sound world for Advent. Veni will be enjoyed by both audiences and performers.
